CSISA has collaborated with SRFSI on two specific studies recently:

The Status of sustainable agricultural mechanization in Nepal

This study explores the current status of mechanization on the Nepal Terai through novel, non-binary frameworks. Preliminary findings show that despite the high potential and substantial promotional efforts, the status of agricultural mechanization remains constrained, and in the main information, gaps exist. Subsidies without further support are hence having only limited effect. Further information will become available as this manuscript passes through the journal peer-review process.

Constraints to DSR service provision in Bihar

This study explores why despite the wider purchase of zero tillage drills in Bihar, Direct seeded rice service provision remains constrained.  Through semi-structured interviews with drill owners, a complete picture of the complexities of DSR, Service provision, and DSR service provision are explored to highlight issues with transitioning from transplanting to DSR. Further information will become available as this manuscript passes through the journal peer-review process.
